What Yonago Kitarō Airport is
It’s an airport in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture, nicknamed “Kitarō Airport” after the local-born manga artist Shigeru Mizuki. Kitarō’s friends are dotted all around the terminal, so the San’in feel begins the moment you step off the plane. Flights include the route to Tokyo (Haneda).
Rental car

Bus and taxi
- Shuttle and route buses — there are services toward Yonago Station and Sakaiminato

The JR Sakai Line (the Kitarō Train)
From “Yonago Airport Station,” the nearest station, you can take the JR Sakai Line. The Sakai Line’s trains are decked out as the Kitarō Train, so the journey itself is sightseeing. The terminus, Sakaiminato, is the gateway to Mizuki Shigeru Road. Head toward Yonago and you can connect onward across San’in from Yonago Station.
